Flowers on Friday started a long time ago. The first time I walked into the San Francisco Flower Mart and nearly started crying. I couldn’t believe all the amazing flowers everywhere.
I started buying flowers every week and photographing them. I’d watch the Iris’s opening, the roses opening, the Tulips growing higher and higher. I started photographing the flowers. I then started a photography greeting card company and the flowers would fly off the shelf.
When I met my husband, he knew how much I loved Flowers. It started on “Friday” He would send me “Flowers on Friday” every Friday. He sent the flowers for years.
About 6 months ago, I was arranging some flowers in my house and thought, wouldn’t it be great to do this every “Friday”/ I wanted to give back to the world. I decided to deliver “Flowers on Friday” to some local seasoned neighbors. I decided to drop off some flowers to some friends and neighbors. On January 5th, the first Friday of 2018, I started.
The first drop off was to my neighbor Jane across the street. My son did the first drop off and he walked up the steps from her house and said “Oh that felt Awesome”. And it did , for me, my neighbor Jane and for my sweet 11 year old son. It created so much Joy for all of us.
It started. That day, I dropped off some flowers to a dear friend and she was so delighted too.
Everyone, I dropped off the flowers to was so Happy.
I absolutely love going to buy the flowers . Picking the colors, feeling the texture and bringing them home. I put them on my counter and get so excited.
I then came up with another idea, What if I could grow my own flowers? So I’m desighning my own gardne filled with LOTS OF FLOWERS> I will plant every friday too!
